An
exciting development has arrived at Yelverton Cinema – we
have launched our monthly Café Cinema Experience.
This is community cinema at its best, offering the
antithesis of the impersonal Multiplex cinema outing.
You will find a relaxing setting where you and your
friends can bring your own drinks and nibbles and sit
back and enjoy a great range of quality film programming
including the best of the recent releases.

Whether you come as individuals or in a group, we have
a set-up to suit everyone. The normal standards of viewing
will continue, with lights down and surround sound without
distractions, but in a totally relaxed environment.
A summary of future
performances can be found below, please click on the
individual film for more details. We have a fine selection
of Saturday films for the summer, all of which are
recent releases.

Yelverton Cinema is an arm of the Yelverton Community
Projects Charity, run entirely by volunteers and dedicated
members
of the local community. The aim of the project is to bring
the cinema experience to people of all ages living in
Yelverton and the surrounding area. The cinema has already
proved to be a valuable resource for local residents,
helping to reinforce a sense of community. We offer something
different and more personal than the regular cinema experience.

There
is a warm welcome, reasonably priced admission at £4.00,
comfortable seating, homemade refreshments available
and a chance to get involved in any aspect of our community
cinema.
Situated at St Paul's Church hall, the cinema is a minute's
walk from the roundabout at Yelverton, making it accessible
to people travelling by public transport and car. The hall
has been fully equipped with the latest cinema technology,
including surround sound and blu-ray projection in order
to offer the best possible cinema experience.

We offer a wide-ranging
film programme which includes independent, art-house,
classic and current mainstream films. Film screenings
take place on selected Saturday evenings
and we also have regular Children's films
and mid-week Matinée performances.
